Paverpol  was developed in the Netherlands from 1993 - 1998, came onto the market in Sept 1998 and has been in Australia since 2003.

It is an environmentally friendly product and it is the only fabric hardener that has been awarded the ACMI AP.  It has been awarded the ACMI AP (Art & Creative Materials Institute certified) for safety in the US and although Europe doesn’t have a standard safety label it is approved in Scandinavian countries as well.

 August 2008 Update

“At the biggest trade show in the world, the CHA that was held last month in Chicago, Paverpol has won two important awards. The first one in the category for most innovative and safest product in artist materials. The innovative aspect is Paverpol Black. Safety of our products is the most important thing and we're so proud that we got the safety label as the only textile hardener.”

“The second award was for a sculpture made by one of our students "Lady sings the blues". It's really fantastic once you hear: "And the winner for the Best of the show Award for the Art Materials and Framing category is Paverpol!!!" The best award you can get and we're so proud!”
